Customer response time - a bug?

Customers' responses to proposals appear in messages (that is, when I am on the page with the search for projects) with an hour and a half delay. Despite the fact that the project search page was constantly updated (reloaded).

Already lost a few projects.
Tell me what is the bug and how to fix it? Keep the message page open + update it manually? Or in general through notifications to the mail to track now?

I read their forum https://community.upwork.com/t5/Freelancers/Not-Ge... it turns out that for 2 years many people have this problem and there are no special solutions, except to track emails. "Amazing" exchange, of course. No one fixes anything, only the commission is increased.

there are indeed lags in the messenger, but in my experience this is quite rare.
