Creating an online store?

Good day!
My name is Ruslan. I am a 4th year college student from Almaty.
The theme of my graduation project was the creation of an online store of goods for outdoor activities and sports with adaptive web design.
For more than a week I have been looking for and reading articles about creating websites, online stores, adaptive layout, frameworks and the engine for the online store itself.
As the framework was advised by YII, Bootstrap figured out adaptability. Now the question remains with the engine: I choose between OpenCart and Magento. Which one is better to choose?
What problems can arise when writing a website? What are the subtleties and weaknesses that need special attention?
