How to create an online store on a budget?

Have a good day everyone!
I am an aspiring entrepreneur in retail and wholesale tea sales.
I work both with deliveries to institutions and with physicists with the delivery of goods around the city.
I want to create a website with information about me for wholesale and with the possibility of ordering by physicists.

Google your questions - your eyes run wide. WordPress, plugins for it, hosting. Just confused.

You can make a store on WordPress cms only at the business rate for 2800 rubles. per month.

I don’t know if a physics store will be relevant for me, so I want to do everything at the start on a very budgetary basis.

Do I understand correctly that if I buy a domain myself, rent hosting for the site, download everything I need from WordPress and upload it to the host, then the admin panel will open for me to manage and create the site?

Sorry for the confusion, honestly everything is already in the heap.

I would be grateful for advice on how I should proceed in order to open my store.

How to create an online store for free
Step 1. Register a free hosting. For example, here: https://beget.com/ru/hosting/free
Step 2. You buy a domain in the .ru zone for 179 rubles. (price per year) - this will be the address of your store.
Step 3. Upload any free CMS to the hosting. For example, the Showcase version is from here: https://moguta.ru/download
Step 4. After installing and configuring the CMS, add products through the CMS admin panel and test everything.
Step 5. If everything is fine, you use it and rejoice, if you feel or see that there are not enough resources, you switch to paid hosting, but in principle, free hosting (without guarantees) should be enough to start.
If you want absolutely, completely free, even without spending on a domain, then stupidly create your store on Avito or VKontakte. The question of sales on the Internet is not about the presence or absence of a store, but rather about the presence or absence of channels to attract customers. You can sell goods without an online store, even through VKontakte groups, even through WhatsApp, even through direct calls to your phone, the issue of advertising is more important here, and not the presence or absence of a site.

See ready-made online store designers. All have a free period.
It is better to buy a domain separately from a domain registrar, so you will not be a hostage of the site.
Play around with different constructors. Then delegate your domain to the created site.
But I personally do not believe in bright prospects for your B2B segment. Marketplaces and federal networks ;(

I'll come with my unsolicited opinion.
In the case of physicists, it will be easier to throw your teas on marketplaces, such as ozone, wb, i.market.
+ you can also turn to all sorts of darkstores, such as a scooter or a bar.
And for wholesales and providing information, you can make a one-page / landing page on the same tilde or wix.
My opinion is due to the fact that it is more important for me, as the end consumer, that I can easily place an order and quickly receive it without any hemorrhoids - marketplaces solve this problem in 99% of cases better than any online store based on a ready-made CMS. In addition, the issue of payment and delivery is easily resolved there.
For information about the manufacturer, I can turn to a regular site - it is much easier and cheaper to make it, and it will be quite enough.
And if I am some kind of business, then in any case I will have to contact the salesperson from the other side in order to coordinate all the documents and delivery, for example, to an office or a restaurant. This is usually easier done by phone or mail.

hello, I once wrote on a blog for clients who asked a lot of the same type of questions, I see that you have a lot of them too, maybe it will come in handy for you ( see in pdf format ).

Do I understand correctly that if I buy a domain myself, rent hosting for the site, download everything I need from WordPress and upload it to the host, then the admin panel will open for me to manage and create the site?

Yes, I'll tell you more, any normal hoster will supply you with WordPress or opencart for free and send you access to the admin panel.
You can make a store on WordPress cms only at the business rate for 2800 rubles. per month.

I didn’t understand this a bit, to start on WordPress, any hosting for 200-300 rubles per month is suitable, for Opencart the requirements and load are even less.
I would be grateful for advice on how I should proceed in order to open my store.

In short, then:
  1. decide on the admin panel (cms), this is the most important thing, then it won’t be easy to redo it, I see only two options for you: wordpress (if there are few products and many are not expected) or opencart (if there are at least 50 products, I would already look at it) - the easiest step
  2. decide on a template (making a unique design is not budgetary) is the most mind-blowing stage, because there are thousands of them and you need to know how to choose because it is very easy to "not guess"
  3. add content (products, articles, modules, etc.) - the most difficult and longest stage
  4. to promote the site on the network and engage in its technical support is the most expensive stage

something like this...

opencart is the easiest

Briefly and in fact:
If you are zero in this (and this is probably true), then forget about all sorts of cms, their templates. All the same, they also need to be configured / loaded, etc. + Many of them work on paid plugins (Or broken old versions. And this is fraught with viruses).
Get website builders. Tilda or Insales . The second came up specifically for people like you.
