Is it possible to create a multi-user online chat, where a raspberry is used as a server, and it is located in another city, country, but connected to the network? Still as an idea, a botnet (only for educational purposes), all the same principle, all remotely. The language for the client side is java? I haven’t decided on the server one, it seems to me that you shouldn’t use java, it will take a long time to think. In what direction to move?

IRC or AMQP of some kind. You make an IRC server on Raspberry, and Java listens and does what you say.
