Could I damage the pixels on the monitor?
Hello. I was sitting at my computer as usual and saw a black dot on the screen of my macbook and like a moron scratched it with a fingernail, it hardly moved away, but after that this place (small dot) shimmers with color as if a drop of water is there, well, as if the pixels are visible.
Could it ruin the screen like that? The screen as a whole works fine, but this dot is in the center and unrealistically infuriates. Is it possible to fix it somehow? Running my fingernail along the glass at this point, I feel some kind of small unevenness there.
macbook pro retina late 2013
I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks

There was dirt on the monitor, and you scratched the screen with your fingernail.
Think so.
Most likely just dirt. Something stuck. According to the description - it can be dried juice from fruits - they ate an apple or watermelon nearby. It splashed and froze. The screen on the retina has a fairly strong coating, I can’t say that it is glass, but it is definitely stronger than a film coating, such as on a Macbook Air, you can’t scratch it with a fingernail if you don’t specifically pursue this goal. A slightly damp microfiber should be wiped off, or just breathe and wipe with microfiber. The kit comes with a good cloth.
