Cooler management on Linux Ubuntu?
Hello everyone
Recently moved from Windows 10 to Linux Ubuntu 18.04. I have an Acer Aspire5551G laptop. On Windows I used the utility from Acer FanController. She controlled the speed of rotation of the cooler. there were only two buttons Full On and Normal. That suited me. Now I found out that it just doesn't go to LInux. I tried to install via winetricks and wine - but it didn't work. Then I found an article on the Internet about lm-sensors and fancontrol. But this method did not work either. Tell me some software or how can I install FanControler through wine

Google the lm_sensors and fancontrol packages. I still use psensor.
I recommend learning how to use apt-cache search like
$ apt-cache search fan | grep -v lib
toshset - access to most Toshiba laptop hardware interfaces
acpitail - display ACPI information in the style of work tail
fancontrol - utilities for reading temperature/voltage/rpm sensor values
lm-sensors - utilities for reading temperature/voltage/rpm sensor values
mbmon - Hardware monitoring without kernel dependencies (text client)
psensor - Show graphs for monitoring the temperature of computer components
sensord - hardware sensor information logging daemon
xmbmon - Hardware monitoring without kernel dependencies (X client)
xsensors - hardware health information viewer
digitools - A set of tools to control ASUS Digimatrix embedded hardware
$ apt-cache search fan | grep -v lib
are you laughing?
for many packages, the name does not mean anything, (only God / the developer knows ツ )
not knowing = find it
