How to configure persistence kali linux on a virtual machine?

I run Kali Linux on vmware workstation and all the actions that I did while working with it are discarded and the next time the system starts by default. How to save changes?

Looks like you're running a live cd in a virtual machine. Install the system as usual and everything will be saved
