Contabo Does the VPS have an SSD or HDD installed?
Please advise on this issue. I ordered a server on contabo.com I
ordered an SSD, but it confuses me that when I enter the cat /sys/block/sda/queue/rotational command, the
result is "1". With an SSD, it seems like it should be "0".
Entered the following command: dd if=/dev/zero of=sb-io-test bs=1M count=1k conv=fdatasync; rm -rf sb-io-test
Result: 1024+0 records in
1024+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 7.36248 s, 146 MB/s
Entered the following command: cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host : scsi2 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: QEMU Model: QEMU HARDDISK Rev: 2.5+
Type
: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05

contabo has two options for vpsok, one with hdd and the second with sdd
if you took the second one, then there are definitely ssd
methods for determining in virtual machines what kind of stupid you use, you don’t see what kind of disks there are in the end
