Connecting storage to a server via SAS - hot-pluggable?

There is an HP server with a SAS controller and storage from the same manufacturer, also with SAS ports.
Let's say there are four servers connected to a stack. One server dies and it must be given to the service.
Is it possible in this case (shutdown) not to extinguish the rest of the iron and storage?
Is it possible to connect a new server to a “hot” one (storage is enabled, the server is not) to a storage?
PS:
HP DL 360, MSA 2000sa
The manual says it is not clear that when the power is on, the cables must not be touched. But it doesn't seem very logical to me. Probably used to FC. :-)

External sas can be easily pulled hot, at least I pull and there seem to be no particular problems.

It shouldn't have any effect. Since you disconnect the "client" in this config. Storadzh should not know about their problems.
