Connecting iscsi lun to esxi, what's the best way?
Hello!
Available:
1) ESXi host
One of its network adapters (vm) looks into the local network (network 10.10.1.0/24), the other network adapter is not involved. That is, now there is only one vSwitch 0
2) Synology NAS (HA cluster of two devices is created), one adapter looks into the same network as above, there are two more unused ones.
A LUN has been created on the NAS, which needs to be connected via iscsi to the esxi host (it is planned to place hdd virtual machines on this LUN in the future) The
question is: how will it be correct to connect iscsi LUN?
Do this through a second network card by creating a vmkernel and include it in a separate switch, creating another subnet, for example 192.168.1.0/24, or can vmkernel be connected to an existing switch on the 10.10.
