Confirmation of software license in the organization?
Good afternoon!
Theoretical question. Suppose a check has come and they are urgently asked to provide evidence of installed Windows and Office in the organization Roga i Hopy LLC.
At the same time, "Horn and Hoof" has distributions of this software, but they were bought at one time for cash, i.e. the checks do not indicate in any way that these boxes with the software were sold specifically to Roga and Kopyta LLC. Accordingly, there are no transfer-acceptance acts and agreements for the use of non-exclusive licensing rights either, there are ordinary checks that indicate "Boxed version of Windows 10 Professional", "Boxed version of Microsoft Office of such and such a version"
Can the inspectors dig in this case?
PS The software is licensed, Windows and Office boxes of full-fledged retail versions.

According to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the proof of the legitimacy of the software used is the primary accounting documents - the shipping invoice and the invoice. All other requirements regarding stickers, any keys, codes and activations are illegal, the absence of boxes and other shnyag means nothing if the purchase went through the accounting department. If it didn’t pass, no boxes will help.
Everything else that is written here is heresy.
bought at one time they were for cash
if the boon fussed and
with inventory, cost, depreciation, etc.,
then they won’t dig in
, and so - well, why did you bring them from home?
Box licenses do not require any confirmation other than the box itself. Whoever owns it is the owner.
Depends on why you came.
If for the Checkbox - they will look at the stickers. If they came to take for a causal place - they will require accounting documents. In both cases, they can let an "expert" through the computers, who will overwrite the installed software.
Generally speaking, for an organization, the only proof of purchase is the accounting documents. Not boxes, not stickers, not keys and some other crap - but documents stating that Horns and Hooves LLC acquired a license from Gray Dealer LLC for the right to use the Horns and Hooves Accounting program. If they came to take for ... seriously - they can also ask a partner - but is it true that such and such bought then such and such?
In your case, not only they can, but they will certainly dig in. Maybe you bought it for yourself for cash home and brought it from home:
