Is registering a similar domain punishable?

Good evening.
Let's say I want to make my own search engine on the yandrex.ru domain. Naturally, without copying anything from Yandex. Those. completely legal service with a domain similar to the well-known one. At the same time, the name yandrex itself was formed quite naturally as an abbreviation for the name LLC.
In theory, this can be attributed to typesquatting, but at the same time I have no malicious intent. I just don’t want to have legal problems later, but I really like the abbreviation domain.
Can you please tell me if this will be punishable somehow? The domain itself will belong to a regular LLC.

By itself, the registration and use of a domain is not punishable.
Another thing is that Yandex will then file a claim, motivating it by the fact that the domain is similar to the point of confusion, which leads to "reputational damage and losses" for Yandex.

I'm burning with curiosity, what kind of abbreviation is this)

If the business on your similar domain is unrelated to the business of the similar domain, then you will have a better chance of proving that there was no malicious intent.
If you are actively competing in business, then everything depends on the quickness of your lawyer, who can prove that there is nothing wrong with similar domains, but the likelihood of such an outcome is extremely small.
