Comfortable work in a virtual machine?
We are talking about a full-fledged wasp. Those. surfing in the browser, music, coding in all sorts of ideas, and so on.
Kolupal settings, googled all sorts of guides, nothing really found. And here's the problem - this virtual machine is a terrible brake. Browser rendering is sooo slow. In addition, writing letters when the browser is running becomes a problem, because. fail to draw. I think it's a graphics card issue. (it is included, but there is no sense).
In general, can anyone have a guide for fine-tuning this crap? OS - ubuntu 14.04 unity (both virtual and main). Or am I suffering from garbage and comfortable work in a virtual machine is impossible in principle? ;D

I've been working in a virtual machine for a year - in debian/archa. Host - sandy bridge i5, 8gb, regular hdd, windows 7.
4gb of RAM at the guest. No hardware video acceleration.
The main use case is programming in ide and using a browser. Sometimes it feels like the host is clearly not enough ssd.
In general, more or less you can live.
