Changing Mail.Ru agent protocol?

Good day to all.
I asked this question on the mail.ru blog on habrahabr and on the mail.ru company's twitter. Didn't receive an answer. Therefore, I ask the question here: what if someone related to mail.ru answers it.
On March 7, at about 12:00 Moscow time, mail.ru agent was disconnected from time to time. As it turned out, the reason for this phenomenon was a change in the protocol of the official client.
Traffic analysis showed that the contents of the packet, apparently, are encrypted.
Alternative clients (QIP, etc.) continued to operate on the old version of the protocol.
Because of what fuss: in our corporate environment, with the help of firewall rules, file transfer through the mail.ru agent is prohibited, only text messaging is allowed. Basically, after sitting with wireshark, I caught the identifiers of text messages and messages that initiate file transfers. But I would like to hear comments on a few issues.
1. Will a description of the new protocol be available?
2. Will the old protocol be completely withdrawn from circulation, or will the new protocol be used by the official client, and the old protocol will remain for alternative ones?
3. If the old protocol is not completely withdrawn from circulation, how long is it planned to maintain it?
