Career counseling in the IT field - is it worth it?

Good afternoon.

Have you used the services of IT career consultants?
I am specifically interested in consulting on positions at the middle\senior management level.

Are the services worth the time and money? Is there a result, in the form of real vacancies or at least effective advice?

PS. If you drop in a personal contact of an intelligent consultant with proven experience, then it will be great in general ...

Thank you!

I understand these services are provided by career consultants?
Then the question arises, why do businesses need you if you can’t simply sell yourself on your own?
I understand that juniors are looking for mentoring, but conditionally, if a person is a senior (especially if not fictional), then usually it’s hh out of their skin to get him a position, and not a senior hires a career consultant who will write him a salary increase strategy.
Of course, there are enough suckers in our country.

What can be required from a consultant who has completed courses for 7,000 rubles? And I assure you, there are a lot of such "consultants". Perhaps there are smart specialists, but this is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Yes, of course, you need to
make sense of messing around with the search there, compiling a resume, sending it to websites, signing up for interviews, let a consultant do all this, besides, the world is not very big and most people know each other, well, it will cost a couple of sn of course, if in Moscow time the average is 2k bucks, then you will pay 4k, but no hemorrhoids.
