Can you recommend a quality web design course/school?
Hello!
If someone studied web design in courses or in a specialized school (for example, for photographers), please advise if you liked it there and learned something from there that you could not do on your own with the help of self-education.
Interested in drawing sites, not web development. And so that they don’t suck in the whole course on how to use Photoshop, fill out a brief for the customer, look for customers and similar crap. I need a professional web designer to teach exactly drawing sites, the subtleties of this matter, in general, give a good base in this direction.
Any courses - both online and offline.
Thank you!

Sites do not draw. Websites are designed and then rendered. Creating a website design is, for the most part, psychology and marketing. Although there is room for creativity.
I disagree that a web designer needs a good artistic base. Sometimes it can even get in the way. Here we need a slightly different way of thinking, aimed at understanding users and customers.
I am currently studying in St. Petersburg, at Epic Skils . The teachers are from good studios, so they give practical knowledge. Also a good focus on design. There is not much information about him on the Internet, as it turned out. On Lynda.com and Tutsplus alone, you can't take it out... At least I couldn't. And in epic, they arrange excursions to cool studios, like the cellar and artw. In general - I like it.
In MSC there is a well-known Briton. In fact, I don’t know much about her, but here, as I understand it, teachers from the British teach the same thing, but for an adequate price. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
Here I’ll tell you about the problem from the point of view of a professional artist, who at one time independently mastered the computer to a non-amateur level, became interested in the web, which he began to master, mastered free layout, who knew how to make a turnkey website, etc.
Preamble:
a) in "art" there are practically no laws, but there are a huge number of rules that are practically not formulated;
b) a professional artist (designer) knows these rules and knows how to use them;
c) a good professional artist (designer) knows how to break these rules in such a way that it will make his work better;
d) a designer is an artist who has a penchant for systematization and the exact sciences;
e) the study of the artist (designer) consists in many years of drochilov to the state of automatism, which makes it possible in the future not to bother with any crap hammered into the subcortex.
Ways:
1. Directly to yuh those who say that a designer should not be able to draw - the results can be seen in web design of the late 90s - 2000s, when there was a myth that engineers who rushed into a niche using templates would cover task;
2. Bad news: you can't learn how to be a designer without natural inclinations. You can study color science, typography, composition and its basics, etc. for a long time, and even seem to begin to understand something. but not be able to solve the simplest problem;
3. Good news: a self-taught person with natural inclinations can learn to do serious work, but several times longer than a person with a specialized education;
4. Handjob, handjob and handjob. Hours so 8-16 a day. (A passing question: why do art universities teach for 6 years, as in medical schools, and in schools for 4-5 years?);
5. Study, study and study again. All life. Go to museums, flip through albums, look around carefully, communicate, notice little things - reformat your brains and views of the world.
It all depends on you, no matter who writes to you, so that they don’t tell you, but if you don’t want to study, no professor will teach you! Here it is important to understand one essence - this is your digestibility of the material.
Here is the site https://htmlacademy.ru/
Here the courses are free - https://htmlacademy.ru/courses
If you pass all the free courses you will be able to almost 50% of what any programmer can do, but all the chips are beautiful ideas, so to speak should be born in your head ...
Everything is in your hands, diligence and patience, willpower - any work brings success sooner or later!
"Drawing sites" consists of many components, starting with the usual "Drawing".
If there is no basic art / design preparation, break the preparation into stages. In design, skill development is very important, it takes time for each stage.
academy2d.ru - that's not so bad
itmo-it.org/web-designer ITMO courses
in some web design courses you will be taught the basics of HTML and CSS, and they will also teach you how to set denver
and that's not all the same, you will be taught how to typeset on, for example, bootstrap, and you will also be taught how to smudge a shadow in Photoshop
It's sad that there are still people who think that you can come to the course and learn only what you want. Someone thought about what you NEED to learn? Normal learning for something is built sequentially. This is how I came to the web design course at Avenue. I looked at the program and I think that I once read about this, I also know how, but I don’t seem to need it at all. As a result, I decided for a long time whether I personally would be of any use in learning. Still, ignorance of many things won and I went. And you know what, I realized that my knowledge was very superficial. Well, how would it help me to grab complex things on the fly, but having a certain learning structure, everything is logically layered and perfectly fixed. I also realized for myself that yes, you can read some rules and principles yourself at home, but discuss, analyze and give examples as in a group lesson, you will not. It seems to me that there are no bad courses, the question is whether they were worth their money and whether this is the right level for you.
