Zune software interface?

bbeec21b205147f876faa09c57b5e332.png
I thought it was a flash when I saw it on the desktop.
On the background of the cover from the music library. The color is changing. Everything moves smoothly and in general everything is very stylish.
This is where, how in what and what can be seen on the topic of these interfaces? I know there are standard controls and so on, but here the silverlight is in force ...

Rather, it is a hybrid application.
Zune draws the interface using UIX (like native applications in WP7). But similar-looking applications can be developed using WPF or Silverlight, since there are many themes for them.
A couple for WPF: github.com/MahApps/MahApps.Metro chronoswpf.codeplex.com/

The controls there are really non-standard, if I understand correctly, they were drawn specifically for the application. Zune itself has nothing to do with Silverlight or .Net - it is written in C ++.

Here, there is a series of articles 31 days with metro from the designers of MS ux.artu.tv/?p=179 I myself, when the time comes, I will sit down to read.
www.slideshare.net/davidwkchen/metro-ui-interaction-design-guidelines-microsoft-techdays-2011 - guideline presentation, 2 years old already.
www.riagenic.com/archives/487 - another article about principles, but rather weak.
In general, in a couple of months there will be desktop guidelines already, because there is still such a current on the winfon in full.
PS. For twitter, there is mterotwit on the desktop, it's beautiful. There is a bend for the text, but it is not very functional. In contact there is a meridian player - also a metro player on html5.

The Zune uses the Microsoft UIX Framework (C++), which is also used by Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center. Naturally, for Zune it is customized due to a different design.
Under WPF, I can advise my project :) http://elysium.codeplex.com/releases/view/74903 Wait a week until the next version and "buns" like Application bar and Toast notifications will be available.
