Good afternoon, faced such problem. After reinstalling windows 7 64bit, installed virualbox 4.3.26. I created a virtual machine, configured everything as usual. After starting the VM, a small window always opens, always in the upper left corner, well, I think it’s okay for me to drag and stretch it is not difficult, but then it turned out that the selection of the optical disk image from the VM window does not work, the window blinks and that’s it. What I tried, to install 4.2.28 is the same, I changed the default settings of the VM and changed it step by step, the VM for different OSes, even rearranged the driver for the video card)).

In general, I did not find a solution to this problem. Version 4.3.12 worked fine, but after the complete removal of virtulbox, including from the registry and windows/system32/drivers. something like this.
