Can I set up an Ethernet network using Qlogic 8Gb FC Dual-port HBA adapters?

Once they bought a bunch of adapters for building SAN networks. Adapters are left lying around idle.
But there was a need for a high-speed network.
The question is, can these adapters be used to build an Ethernet or are they only for SANs?

No, they are SAN only.

There are drivers for IPoverFC for older versions of the Linux kernel and for Windows 2003. But perhaps your adapters are too new and there are no drivers for them for Windows 2003. If possible, forward the adapter to the virtual machine and make a bridge with the host system.
