Can I connect the monitor via Type C USB3.0 (USB3.1 GEN1)?

Good day, there is an ASUS X556UQ laptop, a monitor is connected to it via VGA, if possible, I would like to connect another monitor, I found an adapter: here is part of the description

Конвертер USB 3.1 Type-C VGA, переходник USB type C to VGA (от USB type C на VGA)

according to what I found in the specification, I have Type C USB3.0 (USB3.1 GEN1), so the question is, is this adapter suitable for me?

To connect a monitor via USB-C, you need:
1. so that the controller on the motherboard (or video card) allows you to output video through this connector
2. so that the monitor itself allows you to receive video through this connector
3. so that the cable allows you to transfer video through it.
Specifically, in your case, the ASUS X556UQ laptop cannot transfer video via USB-C.

It is better to connect via an HDMI-VGA converter or take a DVI/HDMI monitor and connect directly.
Type C connects "software" video cards, and during operation they unhappily load the processor and lag in FPS.

If the second monitor has a digital input (hdmi / dvi), then it is better to connect through it using the appropriate adapter / cable, using the laptop's HDMI output. Not sure if your laptop has video output via USB type-c

USB-VGA will come in handy at the moment when you need to connect another monitor
. That is, the first external monitor is D-Sub / HDMI / DVI, the second or third is via usb-vga
