Can I change my developer account from a private person to a legal one at Apple?

If I have already registered as a private developer, can I change my developer status to a legal entity?
Or should I re-register?

Register a company account and transfer apps from your old account to your new one via itunesconnect.

the price there is generally cheap, it’s easier to register a new one
