Samsung Galaxy
S
III 64 gigabytes (SDXC) will obviously come out even more than the new iPhone.
The operatives in the iPhone 5 are unlikely to be inserted more than 1 gigabyte, so it will definitely compete.
Proc 1.4 GHz 4-core + screen is clearer and larger.
I personally held it in my hands ... I didn’t want to let it go ... it has a screen as a whole with the body ... it flows softly, its surface is smooth as ice, but at the same time durable - Gorilla Glass 2.
In all respects it comes out better
Well, the pluses of the android in the form of the fact that there are already firmware with 4.1 root and a bunch of root progs. Or can you do everything without root, download music, movies, software - is it worth spending time on a jailbreak?
And by the way… holding the iPhone4S it is small, heavy and its corners are sharp — uncomfortable in the hand… in winter I think it will be very cold, metal + glass… and by the way I saw crash tests — which side of the iPhone does not fall each glass to smithereens, SGS3 withstood the fall.
By the way, he has a larger battery, the screen is juicier, faster, the memory can be expanded more. You can buy for 20k.
Yes, and 4 cores and other characteristics, I doubt that for another 2 years there will be something that will make this device budget-friendly in terms of characteristics :)

iPhone, after I broke the android phone against the wall, I bought a 3G bu, then I felt the difference! Now I go with 4 16Gb - I'm completely satisfied! It's a pleasure to use, even with the condition that I use iOS 6 beta 4.

One and a half years yuzal iPhone 3GS. Well, what can I say, without a Jail, everything is fine. For all the time of use, I successfully updated the device to iOS 5.1. In general, there were no serious glitches. But if you put a jail, problems begin, especially with the latest versions of iOS. Everything that was installed from Cydia (especially shell extensions, enhancements, etc.) periodically successfully rebuilt the shell. In general, the conclusion is that everything is fine as long as there is no Jail. Let his fans beat me with a stick :), but it's true. The more programs are installed from Cydia, the more they destabilize the system. In short, if you need toys, call and climb on the Internet, but no more - you can take the iPhone.
Bought a Galaxy Nexus a month ago. Assembling the iPhone is better, there are no options. The Nexus, in general, also has no strong flaws, but because of the "plasticity" - it has a minus. In terms of autonomy, if compared with 3GS, it is almost the same. All the programs / toys that I used on the iPhone successfully migrated to the Nexus. By the way, I don’t feel a lack of games / programs, you can find everything in the Play store. Well, a huge advantage of Android is the installation from external sources without dancing with tambourines. After the iPhone, it's like a balm for the soul.
The key to the success of iOS is simplicity and hence the impossibility to expand everything and everything, Android is unlimited freedom, hence a more complex system (although it’s the most for anyone, I like it).

Changed iPhone 4 to SGS2. I really want to go back.
All the time of owning the SGS2, the feeling of some kind of toy did not leave, there was no licking and solidity of the iPhone.
I changed it to Cyanogenmod 9, it became a little better, but not by much, anyway, it felt more convenient to use the iPhone just like a phone.
So I advise you to wait until September 12, and then make a decision.

It's strange that no one has said anything about the Nexus yet.

Just don’t get fooled by the opinions of people who, after a phone with android 2.3 for 6 thousand, twirled an iPhone for 15 in their hands and, attention, they, for some reason, liked the iPhone more) If we compare, only flagships.

On an iPhone, you can’t even edit a Word document if something happens. Whether it's an android - installed king soft office and go ahead. It is useful in emergency cases.

If you don't know what you want, buy an iPhone. It’s cooler and will add weight to you in society) a new iphone5
will cost under 30+k, you have to wait until it gets cheaper (after the new year, apparently)
12k+-), One S (be smarter, it costs around 20), you can look towards the Samsung from fresh devices…

get used to the buttons, the iphone seems uncomfortable to me, the owners of iphones - my android, it seems not thought out.
samsung makes high-quality devices, buy S3 - you can't go wrong (it's only healthy).

Here the choice is really difficult. It’s already hard to call Nokias phones, Samsungs are all glossy, I touched it once and then it’s scary to look at, I like HTC, but when I bought it (about a year ago) there were a lot of reports of marriages, they broke down in a week or two. The iPhone did not want to, expensive + then a lot of trouble with unlocking, etc. As a result, I took a closer look at Motorola. Yes, yes, they are alive and again making excellent devices.
I settled on Defy+. The only downside is that they do not come with Russian firmware. You will need to read the manuals on w3bsit3-dns.com or by flashing, but in the end it is flashed in an hour.
Of the benefits:
+ waterproof case (I personally checked, the levels are in tea :))
+ Glass Gorilla Glass, almost a year of use was not scratched, dropped many times, did not crack. But it's not shockproof! It's just good glass.
+ matte, nice body
+ 1730mA battery
In general, I'm satisfied :) But now Motorola has released a bunch of interesting phones that deserve attention, take a closer look. On the same w3bsit3-dns.com you can find a list of online stores where you can order + discount vouchers :)

I'd go for the Sony Xperia S or Galaxy S III right now, depending on which screen size you prefer. They certainly won't get old in two years, they've never heard of brakes, their camera and battery are the best in the industry right now (aside from the monstrous motorola razr mahhh), and I've used both. S3 will be reviewed soon :)

I would still wait for phones on Windows phone 8, at least to look and touch.
I already have 5 people from my acquaintances who have touched and played with my lumia and switched from 2/3 of the android to it.

By the way, PenTile does not really affect the huge screen of S3, HTC One X, like you, I also heard about marriage, I don’t know.

I will describe my experience. Not for the sake of holivar, but maybe it will somehow help a person make a choice.
I have been sitting on GNU Linux (Debian) for a long time, now I have this OS on my home router. I am for open source with both hands, and when back in 2009 money burned my pocket and the choice became to take iphone 3gs or G1 (probably they don’t remember this anymore) from Google. My whole open source nature was pulling me towards the G1, but the reviews about the dampness turned me away towards the iphone. And now, three years later, my iPhone serves me faithfully without any freezes, etc. Despite all the falls on melted ice, on asphalt, on tiles (I accidentally dropped =\ in the toilet), it just works. Works as I need.
Yes, iTunes, yes synchronization, but I'm already so used to it that for me it's more of a convenient way to organize a media library.
I recently saw a friend with htc sensation when he took out the battery, because the instagram app hung and waited for another two minutes to turn on. I also saw a colleague who somehow flashed his SGS2 wrong and walked with a brick all day. So my next phone will be from apple, that's for sure :)
