Burp-suite not working, how to set it up?

I tried to intercept traffic from my computer, but in the burp-suite program the "site map" window is still empty. I tried clicking the "Intecept" button in the "proxy -> intercept" tab. But the most interesting thing, when I click on the "Start attack" button, the error "Payload set 1: Preset payload list is empty." appears. Google unfortunately did not help ... or I was not looking for it. I tried to switch to the version below, as in some videos on YouTube 1.7.19. But the error remains. How can I fix it?

Change your browser's proxy settings for example to 127.0.0.1:8080
And then in burp change the settings on the tab as shown below and check the box.
Still on the Intercept tab, you need to turn off the capture. Everything should work.
