How to replace the kernel in Live Kali Linux?

There is Kali Linux on the 3.18 kernel
. There is an Asus T100 with eMMC.
There is a 4.0 kernel (linux-image.deb and linux-headers.deb)
There are mmcblk0rpmb errors when starting live.
Question: how to install / replace the kernel in live? So that Kali is loaded not from 3.18, but from 4.0?
Errors do not allow Kali to be installed in the tablet's memory (probably errors, if not them, then what?). The installation crashes by 15% or 36%, I could not even go further.

@MaxDukov

can start your search with the question, how to disassemble and build a Live version of Linux? Kali or not doesn't matter.
