BSOD when virtualizing Windows XP in ESXi 6.7. What to do?

Good afternoon. Faced a BSOD after I virtualized Windows XP using vCenter converter 6.0 (it didn't work through 6.2).

Tried to install drives in IDE mode.

BSOD 7b - inaccessible boot device. The system cannot find the device from which it should start downloading. If the disks were set as ide - put them exactly as they were bare-metal (primary master etc). If sata - put it the way bare-metal was on the channels.
Go into recovery mode (if possible) and install VmWare Tools if not.
In fact, you moved the disk from the machine to another machine with completely different hardware. Although, in theory, vmware converter should have transferred correctly, but did not transfer.
