Backup to a remote host?

Outsourcing.
We have several clients who sometimes have 2-5 computers.
Usually, if the client has file storage, we copy OS images there using veeam endpoint backup free (an excellent free tool), sometimes using the OS itself.
We have the opportunity to make a large-capacity file storage on our base.
The problem is that VEBF, like the standard windows tool, makes copies only to local storages, within the LAN, they don’t know how (or don’t want to know how) to the same FTP.
What can you think of in this case, how to present a remote storage on a LAN as a local one?
iSCSI, as I understand it, is not suitable at all, because. there can be very large delays on the Internet, which is critical for him

It works well to create a system image using regular means or through disk2vhd, after which differential compression, and sending to the storage via FTP. As a result, a script of three console commands.
Of course, at the time of creating the image, you need enough space on the local computer to store the image + 50%.
But in general, remote storage of images does not always justify itself - with such failures, the speed of recovery is very critical, and everything depends on the speed of downloading the image.

Use a different mechanism for these purposes.
Consider Bareos/Bacula.
It will allow you to copy, if not an image of the entire machine, then at least critical data.
