Audio software for Mac OS
Sometimes I have to keep busy creating advertisements for the radio and I also record podcasts for myself. For post-processing in my Windows, I used 2 programs: WaveLab (the recording process itself, normalization, filters, effects, bass, cutoff frequencies that theoretically could not be recorded by a microphone, etc.) and Adobe Audition (for mixing tracks, auto noise removal, normalization of volume levels, compilation to mp3 with variable bitrate, etc.). Google has suggested that both programs are EXPECTED under Mac OS 10.5.x-10.6.x (Intel), but are not yet available.
I almost got rid of my Windows laptop and now I want to do everything on a MacBook. Can you tell me what software can do the same? It is desirable that the retraining time be reduced to the shortest possible interval.

Start with GarageBand (recommended above), which is already on your MacBook.
It is enough to create podcasts for most people.
Well, if not enough, then (in addition to the already mentioned Audacity) - a bunch of specialized software for podcasts, audio editors; free and commercial software at www.macupdate.com.
And if you don’t have extra money, but your conscience is still with you, then here.
Yes, and the interface in audacity will be more familiar to you after WaveLab and Audition ...
Since we are not talking about free programs, I can only recommend Cubase 5.1. Will do everything you need and even more. Some might say Logic, but that, imo, is just a matter of taste.
