Asus P53E stuck on splash screen?

They gave away a battered Asus P53E. Starts but hangs on the Asus splash screen. There is a crack on the motherboard near the power supply connector. In that place, the board heats up. What do you advise?

First, repair what you have. Secondly, reset the settings and try to start again. Run with a minimum set of components. Use of a diagnostic card.
