. If about 771/775, then there were boards that didn’t see xeon even after flashing.
Officially, xeon didn’t exist in 775, it was in socket 771, which was turned into 775 with a jumper. Then the correct instructions were sewn into the BIOS and got a working xeon.
Xeon will be cheaper than quad due to lower frequencies per core and a large number of useless processors (morally obsolete)
