Are identical text in h1 and span treated the same by the search engine (SEO)?

Greetings!
<h1>Selling people, not expensive! </h1>
<span>Selling people, not expensive! </span>
<h1>identical <span>in all respects (size, color, etc.).
Questions:
1. Does a search engine equate <span>in importance in terms of SEO to <h1>?
2. If item 1 is yes, then how is it more competent to make a large text so that it stands out on the page and does not affect its ranking?
Thank you!

@Mike_Ro

Doesn't equate. H1 will remain H1 in the eyes of search engines, i.e. a more important part in the html structure of the page, and span will be treated as a normal occurrence in the text
