Apple Safari ignoring autocomplete="off"?

In the Safari browser on Apple, form fields are filled with incorrect data.
For example, in the form there is a name="email" field in which the browser prescribes a phone number.
autocomplete="off" is ignored by the browser.
Even so:

<input type="email" autocomplete="off" name="email" value="[email protected]">

Safari does autocomplete anyway, and it's wrong...
How can I prevent Safari from autocompleting certain fields?
