Android or Unity?

Hi all. Let me tell you a little about the past. About 8 years ago I studied at the academy and worked at the same time, because of this, study was difficult, but interesting. There were 5 courses, where I left the 3rd year (since I could not pass the theory of programming, but I got admission to the exam by writing level 1 of the game "Black Cloak" by Dendi in c++ sfml). Yes, such a teacher got caught, if you don’t know the theory, then dosvidos. I taught all these almost 3 years at the academy c, c++ language. After I took the documents, there was no time to further maintain knowledge and develop. That was family business, one after another, so it was forgotten. A year ago I went to web development courses (they taught html + css and quite a bit of pure javascript). As it turned out, this was not enough at the present time. It was necessary to finish teaching myself more, frameworks, wordpress, etc. Since I wanted to work more for myself than in an office, I understood. I won't get far with this knowledge. And as it turned out, there is a lot of competition on the web, starting with our fellow countrymen and ending with the Indians. After thinking about all this, I am 30 years old, time does not stand still, but something needs to be done. Moreover, the case is so interesting, I like it. Since the entry threshold is small on the web, but you still need to learn a lot of technologies + but rather it is a minus that there is a lot of competition, I began to look towards android applications. From this, the actual question is: what will be easier and faster in mastering android studio or unity? how does that and that branch feel in freelancing (orders, for example, or put your projects in the play market yourself)? I understand that you can send a lot of similar questions to "google" there, but I found similar questions for 18.19 years basically. During this time in the field of IT, a lot has changed, I'm sure. Thank you in advance and sorry for such a long story with water :)

Unity is a game engine. He has a very negative attitude towards android applications.
Further - neither one nor the other. It is necessary to start with programming languages, and not with what you have listed (I can’t find a common word at all).
Total - want an android application? Kotlin, java, flutter (or whatever) and other cross-platforms. Do you want games? Seasharp, lots of geometry, algebra.

how does that and that branch feel in freelancing

Yes, what a bummer. 30 years old and no mind.
Freelancing is dominated by soft skills and the ability to sell yourself. A specific branch of development does not mean anything. In freelancing, you will look for a job yourself, and if you think that you can go to the stock exchange and get yourself a job, then this is completely wrong.
Because I wanted to work more for myself than in an office

Well, decide for yourself what interests you more. To become a good specialist, you need to spend a lot of time on training. Lots of. And you yourself have to burn in this direction, so as not to burn out even before the first ten orders appear.
Why the opinion of randoms from the Internet in such a personal intimate matter.

Why do you think that there is less competition in mobile development? And the entry threshold is higher than for the web.
But if you want to try your hand, then install Android Studio , learn Java (after C ++, it seems to me, it will be easier than Kotlin), Android SDK and try to make applications.
Unity, as rightly noted, is a game engine with such extensive functionality, including even actual development without programming, that you can’t talk about it in a couple of words.

It is naive to assume that something is changing globally so quickly in IT, as everything was in 18, this issue remained the same, as in 2006 everyone was crying that too many programmers would not find work soon and would not pay 50 thousand, they are crying the same way now they’re just crying in Moscow time that they won’t pay 500 thousand))

Let me help you get rid of the water. Your whole question boils down to:
I want to earn money, I want to work less. I went to courses, because I’m too lazy to study myself, but it turned out that knowledge doesn’t flow into my head, and after courses, the customers didn’t line up for me. Tell me the area where you need to strain less, because it’s too lazy to google yourself.

Answer: where it is easy - there is no money.
