And what if the Western Internet is turned off?

What will happen if everything goes according to the worst-case scenario and the Russian Internet is cut off from the West? what will happen to domain names and zones?

what the hell. We have a server, vkontach out in the selector, which is somewhere in Russia, and not the current vkontach.
When you hear "the West will disconnect from the Internet," it becomes sad from such questions.
The West has only ICANN and head dns, no more. all they can do here is to chop off dns explicitly. but the good thing about dns is that it is not alone, it is cached by dofiga who, local providers also update the cache once an hour or xs for sure. In the worst case, the DNS servers that we have stop updating the cache, and if some sites change their IPs, then this is their problem (from a crafty kanesh, but at such a moment, change IPs, suicides). The bottom line is - nothing will happen from what you could notice.
If something suddenly happens and in general the blockade is total, it will be that they cut the cable straight with an ax, then the Internet will be trampled through the allied countries, the same China.

Only yandex.ru, mail.ru, rambler.ru will remain.
I wouldn't.

We will make mirrors of all the necessary resources. It is not possible to cut off all channels. You can cut off wide channels - yes.
