For a long time I suffer with the choice of a deployer. The bottom line is: I have my own gitolite server, using ezyang / git-ftp, he uploads a dev branch to the test server. I want to improve this process, namely, so that there is also the ability to upload changes via sftp, and before that build gulp / grunt +, if possible, perform tasks on the server (composer). Almost everything that I have reviewed either works only with ftp, or only with sftp, and you need to configure folders for revisions. I just need to lay out file changes between commits. PHPloy is almost what you need, but it is very slow, and local, but I would like to push and forget.

Have you tried https://deployer.org ? Works via ssh, can create arbitrary tasks before deployment.
