And again the question of freelancing ... Where to start?
What areas of freelancing could you go into? I study C++ in depth, but as I understand it, there is almost no small work related to this language. I have basic knowledge of other popular programming languages (because they are all similar). I read that freelancing for 1s is popular.
What is the best place to start? If from books, then from what?

If you like C++, then you should not start with freelancing, there are practically no simple tasks in this language.
There are tasks for 1C, but only on Russian-language exchanges, which means that wages will not be very high, in the West few people are interested in 1C. But are you sure that you want to study and work with 1C? Many who work with this language and platform every day have a mostly negative opinion.
Better think about what you want to develop: the appearance of sites, server logic, mobile applications, games, solutions for banks and other enterprises? After that, evaluate the popularity of languages and niches - the Internet is full of information about current hourly rates by language and by niche. After that, you will only need to start programming on the technologies that you have chosen. I think that you shouldn’t waste time on books, at least at the beginning of your career, it’s better to set yourself a small task and do it constantly google everything that you don’t understand
I read that freelancing for 1s is popular.
1/ make solutions to your problems in C ++ - then you can find buyers
2/ look towards parsing sites, print forms and converting data to 1C, etc.
Work for a couple of years in the office, in a team, then you won’t have any questions about what to do on freelance .. You don’t have to become a crutch maker, so that later your crutches are carried to finish in outsourcing offices, don’t ..
I partly of course understand why some of the answers are in such a joking manner, but still ...
Blockchain, blockchain and again blockchain, you can still study cryptography - this is the future of development - 100%
