tell me a good program specifically for arbitrary accounting of arbitrary iron (in my case, these are switches, sfp-shki, and so on). Those. in fact, only the functionality of the type “iron type”, “a specific instance of the type with a serial number” and “where it is installed” is required.
GLPI and other solutions are not suitable because of their rigid binding to computers - I don’t need all these motherboards with disks and are unlikely to need them.

No product will offer such elementary functionality. Write on Rails or Django will take about 10 min.

if for yourself, then you can store it directly in the database, without any web interface.

For a non-programmer, the easiest option is the MS Access database. In my opinion, it can be connected with MS SQL. Vobshchem, the general access becomes unambiguously.
