A programmer with an incomplete secondary education?
Good day to all.
At the beginning a little background, and then the questions themselves. I’m 16 years old, I’ve been fond of IT since I was 14, I started learning the basics of the web (front-end) at 15. Due to some circumstances (out of my control), I had to go to college with a degree in “Programming and something else ...” And literally Immediately after entering, we were given to understand that we would not receive any knowledge here. (All 4 years will be delphi and database basics).
That's why I'm thinking about the fact that after the 2nd course, to abandon the whole thing and work in Moscow (Not far from me) as a back-end junior. Now I am actively studying books on PHP and MYSQL, making simple working sites for practice, and later I plan to study JQuery and Ajax. I looked at the vacancies for the position of Junior'a php, I fit almost everywhere.
And here is the question itself - Will the employer have doubts about me if I have an incomplete secondary education but there is a lot of motivation, good knowledge for a Junior and a desire to develop further?
Here are the books I read - “PHP7 in the original”, “Creating dynamic websites using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5” and “PHP. Objects, Patterns and Programming Techniques (I think it’s good to study OOP on it) ”Recommend a couple of books on DBMS.
PS Would you hire a person with an incomplete secondary education?
Thanks to all!

I also studied. I quit after 3 courses. But I received a diploma, because. I participated in many competitions, olympiads, did programs at the technical school. So far not useful.
But still I would recommend to finish my studies. There will be some paper. Paper for paper.
Will your parents provide for you until the end of your studies? No acute shortage of money? If yes, then do not think about work yet, it is better to educate yourself. Use the time after school to the maximum for self-improvement. Don't spend a lot of time on "hang out with the boys in the padik". This is the kind of advice I would give myself at your age.
When you work for 8 hours, there is not much time left to learn something new, and fatigue makes itself felt. Especially if you live far from work (more than 40 minutes by public transport)
If you really want to work, then it is better to find a job to combine.
If you know how to think and work for the result, then it doesn’t matter to everyone how many classes you have there
Education is not only specialized knowledge. It is also communication skills, socialization, circle of acquaintances and other useful things in life. If I were you, I would still finish my studies, at least for the sake of these goals. Delphi is certainly not the best language)) but the basics of programming will be completely given to yourself.
If you already understand enough about programming, then it will not be difficult for you to study "on your own" and pass all the required tests / exams. And with the "boys in the hostel" you will make your first startup :)
Until the age of 18, they won’t officially take you anywhere anyway, the restrictions are too serious. As for the diploma, it is at least useful, I myself graduated from the sharaga in the same specialty and a 20-year-old guy studied with me in the group, actively writing code, already having experience in the IT field. When I asked why he did this, he replied that a diploma was required for official registration. After a while (I was 18) I myself went to get a job as a front-ender during the holidays, I was accepted. For off. employment was asked to bring a certificate of completion of 9 classes (I was never satisfied, I left there, why - further). Therefore, I can’t say for sure that this is not necessary, because something prompted that guy to go to get a diploma at the age of 20.
From personal experience: When I was your age, I was actively convinced that neither education nor a diploma was required for my work, and no one cares about age. But I ran into another problem - no one took me seriously, I worked with 30-year-old uncles and they simply could not accept that some 18-year-old kid knows and can do more than they do, moreover, I was hired for 20k , although in the resume they promised 50, and other employees received from 50 (even beginners). That's when I realized what it's like to be taken lightly. Perhaps this is due to the fact that I live in a small town and everyone is too conservative here, but I think the situation in Russia and in Moscow time is not much better. This was the main reason for my departure.
What else can I say. College for a programmer is the best place! During my studies, I mastered several languages and began to earn good money while sitting at home. The fact is that it is more difficult to fly out of sharaga than to enter there. You have 4 more years of time during which you can master everything that is required and that which will be interesting. Become a full-stack developer, earn extra money on freelancing and come to the meeting not as a junior, but as a middle, at least. You don’t need to learn lessons in sharaga, after the 3rd year it’s not necessary to attend it at all))
Therefore, my recommendation is don’t quit! Gain time when you work very hard to develop (verified), you come at 6 o'clock and just fall. All my hopes for constant self-development while working went into a bottle of beer after the office, I'm glad that I learned at least something during my training.
Not only that, there are a lot of vacancies in Moscow time, but there are also a lot of employees, one resume can be considered for 2-3 weeks, and then the answer will be the same amount. For each vacancy, 20+ people. Imagine yourself in the place of the director, who would you choose: a 16-year-old teenager whose hormones have not yet calmed down or a 22-year-old guy with a higher education. For me, the choice is clear. So don't quit again!
And yet, a year of experience in development is not so much.
After the second course it will be in two years, and in two years you will be concerned about completely different issues
