A new laptop (win10, hdd) loads the screw by 100%. Why?

A brand new laptop (pre-installed Windows, hard) in the manager almost always shows a 100% load of the screw. At the same time, there are no stand-out processes and services that load the screw much more than others. All this manifests itself in slowdowns, in occasional slight freezes, especially when launching applications.
RAM is loaded at 80% maximum, the processor is generally enough in excess.
Googled it, disabled some services (such as sysmain, windows search, etc.), disabled automatic app updates, etc. Didn't notice any major changes.
My question is not even so much about solving the problem, but about Windows 10 and SSD. Is it really necessary for modern Windows to have an SSD and the usual hard drive is not enough today even for office tasks ???

The answer is yes.
The native HDD is most likely with a spindle speed of 5400 rpm, replacing it with 7200 will not solve the problem.
Only after replacing with an SSD will it be noticeable by eye, an increase in the speed of the system.

There must be a process that is loading the disk. In the task manager - if it's a system - then either a system service, or some kind of crap from the laptop manufacturer.
Wangyu - put a clean win10 ltsc - disable sysmain, updates - and everything flies (in moderation)

A brake disc for 5400 (look at the model and reviews on the market, you are not the only one) and wine 10 is a killer combination, some have to wait 30 minutes (and even more if updates are installed) to wait until it is released.

Exactly!.
The minimum for comfortable work with office tasks is 8GB of RAM, and an SSD for the system.

Although a year has passed, I will write my answer
. I have a 5400 HDD and 4 GB of RAM
. Windows already shows a lock screen with time in about a minute, and after 15 seconds it is ready to enter a password, then another two minutes and the system is loaded, and disk usage drops to 0%
RAM used 40-60%
Worth Windows 10 Pro 1909 and optimized by me. (Tweaker, manually disabled unnecessary services, with autoruns cut down everything I know, disabling updates, surveillance, etc., and this is the result, so it also depends on the setting)
