Got a question. There is some modern protocol that is not an add-on for FTP, but is aimed at solving the problem of file distribution. I searched - I found nothing intelligible and mainstream.

What's wrong with ftp? If security, that is sftp.

scp as an option, depending on what you mean by file distribution. Or bittorrent .
