Faced a problem, there is zabbix 5th version. An agent is installed on the machine, at least everything is set by default except for the server IP. The server is configured to send mail when an error occurs.
If the agent is in passive mode, then when an error occurs, the letter "Problem started at ..." is sent and an entry appears in the problem section , after the error is resolved, the letter "Problem has been resolved at ..." is sent, for example, I pull out the network.
But if the agent is in active mode, then at the moment the error occurs, no actions are taking place, the problem section is empty. After fixing the error, two letters are received stating that the error is running and that it is resolved, in the problem section , a record about fixing the error appears.
In this case, all statistics are transmitted both in active and passive mode. I reconfigured the agent for different modes, registered the server for the active mode. In the node settings, depending on the mode, I used the Template OS Linux by Zabbix agent active or Template OS Linux by Zabbix agent
template. Is that how it should be or am I making a mistake?
