You need to migrate a Wordpress site version 5.1.1. from php 5.3 hosting to php 7.2 hosting. Is standard transfer suitable for this task?
To transfer the site, I want to use the standard set of transfer via ftp. When migrating to a local server from php 7.2. there were 2 login errors on the site: it was displayed, but there were textual warnings about the error in the topic.
Do I understand correctly that I transferred it incorrectly according to the standard transfer algorithm (ftp + copying the database) or is it necessary to take into account any other nuance?

Xs, how did you transfer, but if everything works, then transferred correctly. And errors are most likely not errors, but warnings, everything is written in them, what's the matter, and what to fix.
fits, I don’t even understand the essence of the question.
turn off warnings in php.ini or in your hosting control panel.
Good afternoon,
Here are the basic steps for transferring a site via FTP. See if you have completed all the steps.
1) Transfer site and database files.
2) Make changes to the configuration files
3) After you have transferred the site files, replace all the paths (to the site) in the files with yours.
For example: /home/www/site.com to /var/www/site.com
4) Replace the paths with yours in the database files.
5) If you want to change the php version, then contact the site developer, because the outdated version affects the correct operation of the software (example: composer PHP package manager) or you will need a special version for new scripts.
