Yandex could not confuse the regions?
A funny situation has arisen.
There is a site, let's say - the location of the "office" in the new riga and it is naturally included in the Yandex directory of organizations, we somehow thought that we would be attributed to Moscow, okay, they attributed us to Krasnogorsk (this is the Moscow region)
And organic traffic went a bit but do you know where? from Krasnodar :)
The thought crept in - what did the users from Krasnodar need on our modest site that works very locally in Moscow Region?
Can Yandex confuse Krasnogorsk with Krasnodar and stupidly send people to us? Nobody faced such a collision?
Maybe it makes sense to move the organization to Moscow?

The region can be set in Webmaster
https://yandex.ru/support/webmaster/site-geography...
Site regionality can be taken into account when displaying search results for geo-dependent queries. For example, a user from Moscow is looking for information about a car service using the query [car service repair]. Most likely, he wants to find the nearest car service. In this case, if the site is assigned the region Moscow or Russia, then the site will be displayed in the search results.
If meta tags with the corresponding toponym are registered, regions are specified in the directory, and other cities are not used as anchors in external links, then there should be no confusion. If everything is done correctly and there is stable traffic from another city, write to Yandex support.
