Xfce is broken. What is the reason?
I recently had this problem: xfce broke on Kali Linux.
And not only on kali, first on Manjaro Linux, then on Kali.
Program headers are gone.
Changed configs to default, did not help.
I created a new user, configured everything there, xfce worked fine, and the next time I started the PC, the same problem again.
