Look at the list of compatible processors on the manufacturer's website
Core™ i7/Core™ i5/Core™ i3/Pentium®/Celeron® supported, Xeon not listed.
Take i7 - for about the same money and with about the same features, but suitable for your board.
Firstly, your mother will not start with him, and secondly, the main advantage of server processors over conventional ones (in this case for 1230v3) is the support for ECC memory, which is not needed in ordinary computers and is only supported by server mothers. Plus, at this stage in the development of the gaming industry, most modern games do not haw more than 4 threads, while some ignore HT, and it confuses some games and underestimates performance (everything depends on optimization). In the future, of course, there will be games with support for 8 cores / threads.
Therefore, take an i5 with 4 cores (some 4670) and you are not afraid of all modern games (in terms of processor)
List of compatible processors for your board.
As you can see, Xeon E3-1230 V3 is listed there. But since the motherboard is not a server one, some of the processor's functions will not be available.
I myself am looking at this processor for upgrading the desktop, on the forums and reviews they write that some motherboards require a BIOS update in order for Xeon to start on them. So you may need some kind of "socket plug" for this.
