Xen + AMDFX + Ubuntu 12.10?
I installed Xen on Ubuntu 12.10 x64 according to the manual http://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/xen , I tried the kernel from the repositories, and also built 3.5 myself, adding options, as written http://www.lancehendrix.com/techdocs/ incubation/Xen4.1OnKernel3.2.html .
The result is the same - at startup, a black screen, then the inscription “no signal” flashes on the monitor.
If you pull out the HDMI cable and insert it, the image starts working, and what is remarkable - on both monitors at once (2 pieces, the second one is connected via DVI).
I didn’t manage to google anything useful, I rummaged through the logs - apparently, a bug in xen, I left a bug report on launchpad as best I could: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xen/+bug/1029175
Ibid screenshot and syslog.
There are mentions of "opcode" errors in libm-2.15.so in the syslog, so I think it's CPU related.
CPU: AMD FX-8120 (Bulldozer)
Motherboard: Asrock 990FX Extreme3
Has anyone experienced this?
UPD 1 : I found a branch with a similar bug, but the patch does not fit the quantal sources.
