Switching from xen to kvm: how?

Good day. I apologize right away - perhaps I googled a little or incorrectly on the issue, but I would like to hear the opinion of people who use kvm in production. I've been using xen on a corporate network for several years. In principle, everything suits, but kvm attracts with a simpler architecture.
And now the actual questions:
How well is kvm suitable for guest Windows (Windows is not much but necessary)?
Paravirtual drivers work stably (I read that the network freezes in Windows)?
Are there any bugs or features in kvm that need to be worked around (like the networking bug in xen)?
Is there an analogue of pyGrub in kvm (handy for automatic deployment)?

We use KVM, but in the form of a ready-made Proxmox solution plus a cluster out of the box. Microsoft operating systems live remarkably well, the paravirtual network works stably, I didn’t notice bugs and features or I don’t remember right away ... well, maybe when the usb forwarding changed the entry in the configs, I just remember choosing win7 for win2012, but this has already been fixed. It is possible to create machine templates in the Ceph test.
