Wrapper for mplayer/cvlc?

To play the video, I use a small self-made shell script. The script performs two tasks:
1. Convenient file navigation
2. Automatic loading of external subtitles and audio tracks
dnav3.gif
It performs the first function with a bang. The second is implemented at an embryonic level due to a number of insurmountable circumstances.
Please advise a wrapper script for mplayer/cvlc (gui is not needed) to automatically connect subtitles and external audio tracks. Sadness fills my heart when I have to connect them myself.

, Mplayer automatically connects subtitles if they are next to the video and have the same name (and in my opinion, there are even some options for searching by random coincidence, but I'm not sure here). If you prefer to store subtitles separately, then you can specify the desired folder in the config. But for me, it's easier to put subtitles next to the video and insert the file name from the video into their name.
