Would you recommend a topic for a master's dissertation?

It so happened that with the dissertation work the seams. I started with one enterprise, they promised that they would tell me from my part (I study as a programmer, and they are more in physics), but they require a much higher level of physics, they didn’t receive any help, I barely wrote the first chapter, but nothing further. The question of the topic arose again. The diploma supervisor says "look for yourself." I'd love to, but my search ended in failure. The main thing is to find a topic purely on programming with scientific novelty, and I will figure it out.
