Working in 3D Max. Actual?
At one time I studied 3D Max. Modeled and rendered something. Then he dropped it. Now there was an idea to take up the old. Pull up knowledge, learn to do really well. But here's my question - is there any point in doing this? Is knowledge of 3D Max in demand? If yes, then by whom?

Very relevant.
Finding a 3D modeler with a physiologically correct hand position is extremely difficult.
If you have the skills, then finding a job on freelance exchanges or specialized sites (for example, www.turbosquid.com ) is quite easy. They pay well as you can see.
Try searching for relevant vacancies. If you like ZP, then it makes sense.
It makes sense. It is required in interior design, furniture design, sometimes in web design. A high-quality 3D illustration on the site looks great.
