Wordpress: registering image sizes for specific fields?

Is it possible to register the size of an image for example for a slider? I do not want, for example, for posts that have dimensions in 4:6 proportions, images with 16:9 proportions are cut, and in general, why should there be another copy for all other images.
For example, maybe for custom fields there is some possibility of registering images? Unfortunately, I couldn't figure it out.

You need an Image Processing Queue , but I've found that it doesn't work on all hosts. You can also look at Aqua Resizer .
